What is Spectra Shield ?How it works?

Spectra Shield is equipped with advanced object detection, lightweight tracking, and low-light optical character recognition (OCR) algorithms. These cutting-edge technologies work in harmony to transform standard CCTV cameras into smart ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) systems.

The software captures every frame from the CCTV video feed and analyzes it in real time to detect any vehicle entering or exiting the premises. Once a vehicle is identified, Spectra Shield isolates the most accurate frame, then reads the number plate using OCR technology specifically trained for UK license plates. This ensures reliable and precise recognition, even in challenging lighting conditions.

The displayed image showcases the live dashboard of the Spectra Shield application, which logs every vehicle entering the premises in real time. Upon detecting a number plate, the system automatically queries the Fueldriveoff.co.uk web server to retrieve detailed vehicle information—including

• Make, Model, and Color
• Tax Status and MOT Details
• Blocklist/Drive-off Status

The centralized web server, maintained with zero downtime, ensures instant and reliable access to accurate, up-to-date data.

Smart Logging and Visual Alerts

Every vehicle entry is recorded at the top of the activity log, complete with captured images for easy reference. Spectra Shield can also integrate with audio alerts to highlight vehicles of concern, such as:

• Flagged vehicles (on blocklist/drive-off list)
• Vehicles with missing or mismatched plate data

This enables on-site personnel to respond immediately without constantly watching the screen.

Intelligent Search and Flag Indicators

A built-in plate search tool lets users instantly pull up vehicle records using just the registration number. Visual alerts make it easy to spot critical issues:

• 🔴 Blinking Red – Vehicle is flagged on the blocklist or has a history of drive-offs
• 🟡 Blinking Yellow – Vehicle has data inconsistencies (e.g., unregistered, SORN, invalid format)

Together, these features create a seamless, responsive, and user-friendly experience for security and monitoring teams.

Collaborative Protection Across Sites

Once a suspected drive-off vehicle is confirmed, the user can add it to the centralized database. From that point forward, alerts will be automatically triggered if the same vehicle enters any Spectra Shield–protected site, enhancing site-wide vigilance and shared security intelligence.
